POOL MANAGER for The Township of Hillside (Union County): The applicant must possess current Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED Certifications by an accredited organization pursuant to N.J.A.C. 8:26. The applicant must be available to work the entire season. All applications must include at least 2 references, copies of any certifications necessary to fulfill the obligations of the position along with a cover letter and resume. No applicant shall have any criminal or domestic abuse charges pending against them. Duties include but are not limited to all maintenance, mechanical and chemical phases of the operation. Supervise all aquatic staff, create duty schedules and provide supplemental training as required. Organize and submit accurate records and reports. Create and implement facility emergency action plans. Handle routine disciplinary issues. Handle all responsibilities of the Assistant Pool Manager during his/her absence. Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe family friendly environment. A contact phone number must be available to staff at all times. ASSISTANT POOL MANAGER for the Township of Hillside (Union County): The applicant must possess current Certified Pool Operator, Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED Certifications by an accredited organization pursuant to N.J.A.C. 8:26. Under the direct supervision of the Pool Manager, the Assistant Pool Manager’s duties include but are not limited to supervision of all non-aquatic staff. Monitor concession, membership, maintenance and entrance operations to insure patron satisfaction. Organize and submit accurate attendance records and reports. Handle routine disciplinary issues and communicate with the Pool Manager when necessary. Handle all responsibilities of the Pool Manager during his/her absence. Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe family friendly environment. A contact phone number must be available to staff at all times. Lifeguard for the Township of Hillside (Union County): The applicant must possess a current Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED Certifications by an accredited organization pursuant to N.J.A.C. 8:26. All applications must include at least 2 references, copies of any certifications necessary to fulfill the obligations of the position and a completed copy of the New Jersey Department of Education A300 Combined Certification Form (also known as working papers) for any applicant under the age of 18 years old. No applicant shall have any criminal or domestic abuse charges pending against them. Under the direct supervision of the Pool Manager, the Lifeguard’s duties include but are not limited to the safety and welfare of persons in the swimming pool and surrounding area. Observe, prevent and respond to any incident as essential personnel in accordance with the facility Emergency Action Plan (EAP). Maintain rescue equipment in preparation for immediate response. Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe family friendly environment. Guards can expect to work 24-30 hours per week. Pool Attendant for the Township of Hillside (Union County): The Applicant must be able to work the entire season. All applications must include at least 2 references and a completed copy of the New Jersey Department of Education A300 Combined Certification Form (also known as working papers) for any applicant under the age of 18 years old. No applicant shall have any criminal or domestic abuse charges pending against them. Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Pool Manager, the Pool Attendant’s duties include but are not limited to insuring all patrons entering the facility are in possession of a township swimming pool pass. In addition, attendants assigned to the main gate will be required to check any bag being brought into the premises. Some attendants will walk the perimeter area surrounding the facility to insure no one enters the premises illegally and some may be required to perform occasional clerical duties. Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe family friendly environment. Attendants can expect to work 24-30 hours per week. Hillside residents will be given preference however it does not guarantee employment over other qualified applicants.

Facility Maintenance Personnel for the Township of Hillside (Union County): The applicant must be able to work the entire season. All applications must include at least 2 references and a completed copy of New Jersey Department of Education A300 Combined Certification Form (also known as working papers) for any applicant under the age of 18 years old. No applicant shall have any criminal or domestic abuse charges pending against them. Under the direct supervision of both the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager, the Facility Maintenance Personnel’s duties include but are not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the locker room, bathroom, pool deck and surrounding grassy areas. Remove and replace bags in trash receptacles. Refill toilet tissue, paper towels and soap in dispensers as needed. Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe and family friendly environment. Facility Maintenance Personnel can be expected to work 24-30 hours per week. Hillside residents will be given preference however it does not guarantee employment over other qualified applicants.

Pool Clerk for the Township of Hillside (Union County): The applicant must have a working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets and office equipment. All applicants must include at least 2 references along with a cover letter and resume. No applicant shall have any criminal or domestic abuse charges pending against them. They must possess a valid Driver’s License. Under the direction of the Township of Hillside Swimming Pool Commission, the Pool Clerk’s duties include but are not limited to preparing daily reports for the manager. Keep current files of all necessary paperwork including attendance, guest, accident, incident, police and time reports. Hillside residents will be given preference however it does not guarantee employment over other qualified applicants.
