The Hillside Health Department is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of the community while preventing disease and injury. Its public health services focus on monitoring health trends, addressing community health concerns, promoting community wellness, providing information services, and implementing programs that improve overall health status.
Through services such as vital statistics, licensing, inspections, clinics, epidemiology and lead investigations, and information services, the department works to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents. The department also supports community wellness by hosting and participating in events such as breast cancer awareness walks, annual health fairs, blood drives, and other public health outreach initiatives designed to educate residents, provide resources, and encourage preventive care.

- Annual Licensing of Retail Food Establishments, Mobile Food Trucks, Vending Machines, Electronic Smoking Devices, and Milk/Dairy Products
